Balloxtor (Part 1)

"Is it ready, Dr.Nelson?"

"Is it ready, Dr.Nelson?" Nurse Joy Reeds said cautiously. A devoted employee and dearest friend. I'm surprised she stuck out with me this long and another Doctor with this experiment, most of the staff left during the project, who needs them anyway? People don't see the vision when it's in front of them I guess.

For so many years, I put my sweat and tears into this experiment,"Yes, it is ready," I said with confidence. I wanted to make a creature...well, a human... no no, just an indestructible being the world has never seen.

Why? Must you ask? Because why not? Is the answer. I wanted to make something that is invincible, something that can breathe underwater into the depths of the oceans and find new discoveries, something that can walk through fire without a burn, saves millions of lives, something that can withstand ammunition, go into other countries or maybe the U.S. military bases and wipe them out clean.

I'm going too far ahead of myself but, whatever it took! Whatever it took to make the perfect machine. But testing after testing after testing was unsuccessful, I felt like I was going in the wrong direction, no one had faith in my work, my co-workers up and left me saying I was a "mad scientist" whatever, I hope that no one takes this information to any press, President or FBI, or just anyone. No one knows that we are disguising our lab under a school in Philadelphia.

Enough of that, I have to focus on whats important to me. I experimented around with animals DNA into other animals DNA to test its ability with one another, forming different substances into their bloodstreams, injecting them with anything like they do to humans on an everyday basis. All the hard work I put in, and it was no luck.

"Why isn't working!?" I said to myself with anger every time I failed, I would throw things across the room making my staff terrified of me. And then I thought to myself, what if I tried it on a human? I knew it will be risky, but what are the odds that it could work? No one wanted to volunteer, I couldn't just take someone, people will start to question their disappearance that is too much on my hands. But I had to take my chances.

Who will take my chances? It has to be someone that will do anything for me, and then there was my beloved... my only, was unstoppable!

All my work has finally paid off, all genetics known to mankind was a tough procedure. I am yet unsure to know if the creature can withstand ammunition and fire but I will have to test that out in the time being, I'm just amazed at the creature's features.

The body is incredible; hands, feet, and teeth formed like a bear, sharp claws, its head has horns like an ox, hairy face, ears like a bat, tongue like a frog, skin and eyes like a lizard. Craziest thing I have ever seen from a human being, it's remarkable. I needed a name for it, something that made the creature unique so I named it Balloxtor, because of what I see most in the creature: Bear, Lizard, Ox, and Bat.

I want to use this creature for good. I know what I did is bizarre, but just imagine of what more we can do with our species, I want to make history, I want everyone to know my name, I want everyone to see my work and make a profit that can possibly benefit humanity of making doses to the market.

Dr. Linquist always doubted my work, but when your the head of the project I would be too. Running headquarters under Fels and playing a teacher role can be a tough situation so being skeptical of my work is understandable, you don't want any slip-ups in the lab.

Dr. Linquist wants to use Balloxtor as a weapon, an experiment on terrorists and war zones. I don't want that at all, Balloxtor should be an experiment for my purposes! There can be so many Balloxtors out there if I can make a serum that can help.

As we're watching Balloxtor in a tank, I see her observing and taking notes, I know she wants to use Balloxtor for her amusement.

“We'll probably go to prison for life hurting a human being like this, I couldn't bear to watch him in pain,” I muttered.

She turns with a shocked expression as if I told her someone died.

“Prison!? Prison? Then you should go to prison, because I'm not the one harming an innocent human being, look what you did to him, he was just a child and you have the nerve to say you can't bear to watch? Oh, come on,” she said angrily.

“I worked hard for this I had to take my chances, was that bad? Just look at what we created, was that all for nothing? I had to do something, this can be a new discovery for mankind, finding ways to survive and being more advanced as humans like the U.S. Government been doing for some time, we show this to them and we can make millions.”

I said loudly. She shakes her head with disappointment, “Is that what this is about? Money? All you care about is making history right? All these years have you once thought about what he wanted?” she said.

“Who?” I said curiously.

“Your beloved son you idiot,” she said sarcastically.
